Will we Google things 10 years down the road?

Or will we ChatGPT them? Claude them? Gemini them? Deepseek them? If we do all those things how much energy will it cost us? How much environmental damage will it cause? Or will the industry adapt to using much less computing power and energy over time?

I feel like I have an itch to write about AI but I have more questions than answers, not being generally a tech junkie (my dad wanted to get me into coding when I was a teenager but that ship sailed a while ago).

Google search in my view remains the most vulnerable to AI, with its absolute search market dominance. If your market share is 90% you probably only stand to lose from any paradigm shifts leading to market fragmentation.

If I were them I’d rename Gemini into Google ai and make it integral part of the infrastructure. While your brand is still strong enough.
